The Associated Press has an article indicating that Google will be using resources from their acquisition of DoubleClick (an internet advertising company) to track user activity. Yahoo! and Microsoft have been tracking browsing habits for some time, but there is concern that Google’s dominant market position may represent a privacy issue.
UPDATE: The Consumerist posted some tips on how to opt out of Google’s interest based adverisements.
