The much anticipated Disney+ streaming service launched last week. Sounds like it was a rough launch with technical issues and customers having problems logging in. Now, there are rumors of accounts being hacked and credentials for sale on the Dark Web.
Disney denies any hacking, but suggests users are re-using credentials from other sites. This is a good reminder to use unique passwords for every website because all a bad guy needs is one of your passwords and can start trying it at every site. Using a Password Safe is a great way to manage multiple passwords without having to remember them all.
Disney may be locking or requiring a password reset on your Disney+ service even if your account wasn’t comprised.
